Softball, crabs and darts

Because I've been totally slacking on the blog this week, I'm going to make it up to you. How does two posts in one day sound to you? How's that for setting things right? I thought you would like the sound of that.

First up, a little weekend recap, featuring a softball game, a lot of crab eatin' and beer drinkin', followed by a healthy game of darts. Photos galore below.


It was the perfect Saturday for a playoff softball game. BryGuy and I had completed our errands for the day so we walked on over to the park near our house to cheer on some friends. When we got there it wasn't looking good for team Soft Balls, Hard Bodies, but they quickly got those bats swinging and before you new it, the game was tied. In the end, they suffered a sad loss, but they played a hell of a game. 

Following the game, everyone was in need of some liquid nourishment. So we headed to the Old Eagle Tavern for their 2nd Annual Maryland Crab & Beer Fest. The menu had all of the crab dishes you could dream up (and of course steamed crabs) so we ordered some beers from the Maryland Breweries, rolled up our sleeves and prepared to get dirty. The crab cake sandwich was tasty, the crabs were on the small side, but still good, and the hushpuppies were addictive. 

No afternoon would be complete without a healthy dose of competition. So we split into three teams, and played a friendly game of darts. 

Some of us were not so good at darts... 

But Megan stuck the final bulls eye for the Team Ramrod win!
